Marc Ching Is So Arrogant He Ignored Every Major Animal Activist Group When They Told Him, DO NOT Pay For Yulin Dogs

I love reading your death threats, but please stop asking why am writing these stories, you must be out of your mind to even ask.

Every single major animal activist group states you never pay for dogs, Marc Ching was so arrogant, reckless and determined to get press coverage that when attending his first ever Yulin Festival in 2016, he went against all their wisdom and handed out money like he was Santa handing out presents at Christmas.

Why do you think the United States has a standing policy never to pay for hostages? Look it up, it's the same exact reason why you don't pay for dogs and cats.

  • People on the ground that I have spoken to already confirmed that Yulin 2017 will be a blood bath. Kids are already talking about stuffing dogs into a cage and scootering to them to Yulin so they can cash in on the American who will be paying cash to buy their crate.

  • One lady has already been beaten when she was overheard telling someone that an American who buys dogs is here to visit, she warned her friend to stay away from him, he will bring trouble. What caused her to be beaten was saying "I hope he doesn't come back because he brings death with him" Someone dragged her out of the house and beat her senseless, saying "If the American doesn't come back he'll kill her and anyone else who opens their mouth and scares him off." So Marc Ching is not only endangering dogs but people as well.

  • Many people have reported instead of going to Yulin, as they had done for the past 5 or 6 years they will not go this year because they fear that criminals will get mad and destroy the dogs in the streets in front of everyone if Marc Ching does not show or runs out of money. These types want their payday, no excuses.

  • Marc Ching claims to have closed down 6 slaughterhouses, while we have only proven that he closed ONE. Even if you throw all logic to the wind and believe his fairy tale. These slaughterhouses were only shut for a few hours, not days, not weeks and not forever... they were closed for a few HOURS! Marc Ching spent THOUSANDS of dollars in donations for what?

  • Allegedly Marc Ching paid $1000 USD for the one slaughterhouse to close for a few hours. In that time even if it was busy that butcher would have made $50 in profit for that same time period. We have this charge on tape from an eyewitness, but we have not been unable to get 100% confirmation, so we must classify it as 'Alleged'

  • Every legitimate organization going to Yulin to help end this horrendous festival, normally stops trucks heading into Yulin to save the dogs, now, because of Marc Ching and his bag filled with money, the Yulin dogs in 2017 will be ransomed off or slaughtered for revenge.

  • Knowing what Marc Ching did, three major animal activist organizations, with years of experience in Yulin and China are now esitestimating the number of caged dogs will double, since every criminal element will be looking to cash in.

  • If Marc Ching does not show or decides in 2017 he doesn't want to pay for these dogs as he did in 2016, these dogs will be slaughtered for no other reason except revenge against Marc Ching for showing up without his money.

  • Marc Ching has made it known that he will not be repeating his 2016 disaster. The real reason is the fact that since Wildlife Planet has been exposing his disaster and the inside scoop of his real motivations, donations to his Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation has been severely cut. The problem is these butchers in China don't read marc Ching's facebook page (They don't even have Facebook in China) so their is no way they can know that he will be attending the 2017 Yulin festival without his satchel of money.

Marc Ching's 2016 Yulin Festival Grab For Glory
Marc Ching with no plan, a pea size brain at his disposal and his only true talent is being able to cry on demand in front of a camera, still believed he could pull off temporarily closing up to 12 slaughterhouses and rescuing 1000 dogs, with no advance planning, no medical supplies, no vets and did we mention... Accomplish all this in 4 days.

After devoting a total of 4-1/2 days to his rescue plan Marc Ching knew he was in trouble. Marc Ching's definition of 'Rescuing' basically means he pays for the dog. That is it, that is his whole definition. If the dog happens to die, he counts it as a rescue because after all, using his words "They should have died anyway." The problem facing Marc Ching was the fact that he did not actually 'Rescue' any dogs till June 21st, but amazingly Petcha.com, L.A. Weekly and yomyomf.com researched all the information, wrote their 'Marc Ching's Amazing 1000 dog rescue' story, had it proofread and edited and as far as the L.A. Weekly version, published the story on TUESDAY, JUNE 21 at 9:25 am... WOW!

Even Marc Ching wasn't dumb enough to know he had a problem since the dogs already started dying because of his ineptitude. He knew eventually the story will get out so he took to facebook on June 24th to claimed he wasn't even in Yulin to rescue dogs, but as usual anything Marc Ching claims is utterly destroyed by facts.

  • In Late May of 2016, Marc Ching started building a shelter in Nanning, China that could hold roughly 100 dogs

  • Below shows a post from Marc Ching dated june 2nd asking for volunteers, because he will be rescuing hundreds of dogs

  • Wildlife Planet was able to acquire multiple emails from a person called Susan Campbell who was acting as an agent for Marc Ching and AHWF asking for help from multiple companies. Most companies flat out refused when they read he was planning on buying the dogs.

  • Susan's emails also shows that not only that Marc Ching was in Yulin to rescue dogs the emails also confirm that he had a round trip ticket and would be arriving in Yulin on June 19th and leaving June 24th (We show his return flight ticket below.)

Marc Ching's 4-1/2 day rescue
On June 19th around 1 or 2 pm, the 6 volunteers who had been waiting at the airport for his arrival between 6 and 8 hours watch as Marc Ching finally arrived followed closely by Roberto the photographer. Most of the volunteers had a good laugh when they read later that Marc Ching claimed in a post dated 9:56 pm 06/18/2016 that he was beaten up and detained, but witnesses who saw him at the airport said he was smiling, looking refreshed and not a mark on him, even though in that post he claims "I have been beaten up. Missed my flight twice. Been on eleven different airplanes. Slept on the ground. And soaked my skin in the blood of over a hundred dogs that could not be saved. They detained me at the airport for questioning earlier today "

Deborah Hall was one of the volunteers who was at the airport waiting for Marc Ching to arrive. She joined the group after answering an urgent plea for help from Animal Hope and Wellness. She talked directly to and was recruited by Valarie Ianniello Executive Director of Animal Hope and Wellness.

Once he arrived, everyone jumped into different vans and headed toward the hotel. Witnesses claim that every few blocks Marc would get out of whichever vehicle he was in and run off through a parking lot or around a corner, jumping into another waiting vehicle. They assumed he was trying to evade the 10-15 secret police he often talks about.

Once Deborah Hall decided to go to China she contacted people who had been to Yulin in the past. She found out that indeed there will be undercover police assigned to each individual so she expected it, While these people said there was nothing to be nervous about, being this was her first trip to China, it still made her uneasy.

When they arrived at the hotel, two witnesses confirmed that there were at least 20 private police officers sitting in the lobby waiting for them, again according to all sources they were very nice to all the volunteers and they were acting more like chaperones, then the SS Nazi-like secret service that Marc continually tells us when recounting his now disproven tall tales.

Later on the evening of June, 19th the group went to their first Slaughterhouse, they stayed for a few hours making connections with the dogs, but people started to notice that it was all very confusing because nothing seemed to be happening. They also notice that so far everything has been unorganized, and nothing seemed to have been planned out. Despite Valarie's claim that everything was in place, none of the volunteers saw any evidence of medications, cages, or anything that would be needed in a rescue this size.

Without warning, all the volunteers were kicked out of the slaughterhouse and as they were being pushed out, they saw Marc sitting in a car with a big wad of cash talking to someone. The volunteers were told to leave, apparently, the owner did not get paid and now was asking for more money (I have to wonder how Marc will claim this on his non-profit tax returns? One of the things that you learn quickly when starting and operating a 501(c) non-profit was the fact that every penny must be documented.

With no transportation and having been kicked out of the slaughterhouse, all the volunteers were forced to walk multiple miles in the dark just to get back to the hotel.

The next morning at breakfast Marc announced that he had made a deal with the Monks of the Tree of Life Buddhist monastery. The volunteers were all thrilled because they had made a connection with the dogs the night before and were promising them they would get them out. As they were walking back to the hotel the group grew depressed feeling like they broke their promise and let those poor dogs down.

In the Daily Mail article, Marc Ching claimed to have never received the information that the Monks were a "Let nature take its course" monastery, but the moment he announced that he made a deal with Tree of life multiple people warned him that it was not a good idea. Marc said "I spent two hours with them and I have a good feeling about them' again this is not about feelings, this is their religion and their beliefs and if as Marc states he spent two hours with them, in all that time the dogs medical treatments, vet schedules, or supplies needed never came up?

All Marc Ching wanted was to close one slaughterhouse just long enough for to hang his little banner saying "Closed By Animal Hope and Wellness," have his speech in front of the camera, send out his press release, and take photos for his followers back home, so they in turn would send more donations.

Before even 'rescuing one dog, on June 20th Marc Ching was already using the poor innocent dogs, when he sent out this plea for more money.

Dear Friends,
This is an urgent plea from our friend Marc Ching. If you can't DONATE, please SHARE! URGENT: WE NEED HELP I am in the process of shutting down a number of very large slaughterhouses. My foundation is too small to handle the rescue effort alone. So far we have four confirmed shutdowns. With three slaughterhouses pending, and are on our way to the next facility.

There will be over a thousand dogs. A thousand lives that need help to find haven. I do not know where to go. I do not know how to find the help we need for the effort. Note: There are well over four hundred dogs in this one facility. If you want to help support the shutdown of Yulin, please DONATE.
The Compassion Project Foundation website:

When everyone arrived at the first slaughterhouse the volunteers went right to work removing the dogs,

This is at the point where everyone knew Marc was a fraud. In the video to the right multiple witnesses said as soon as Roberto turned on his camera, Marc went all crazy, jumping around, acting all busy for the camera.

You can see one volunteer in the video acting calm as she quietly talks to the dog and nonchalantly hands the dog to the worker loading the truck. Marc, on the other hand, was grabbing a dog like it was a crocodile about to rip his hand off and after securing the animal runs toward the same truck screaming Coming... Coming... Coming like a madman.

The one thing you should not be doing is screaming at these dogs who are scared to death, they don't know what's happening and you'll notice that all the volunteers are all talking in hush tones, trying to comfort the dogs, but Marc needed to stand out so he put on a big show like he was their fearless leader. He claims to know everything about rescuing dogs, so either he is just dumb, or he's acting for the camera.

According to every single person inside this slaughterhouse, the moment the camera was off, Marc took off his gloves and went back to doing nothing. Everything he had done in that one minute of film was nothing more than just playing to the camera. After they had removed about 80% of the dogs Marc told everyone to stop what they were doing.

He announced they were leaving and the dogs left behind were more on the wild side, with rabies and other diseases not many volunteers wanted to get near them anyway, so some volunteers doubted Marc claims that these so-called other volunteers (they never saw any at the hotel) would come later to retrieve these remaining dogs.

After getting in a van, and the truck carrying the dogs from the rescue right behind, everyone thought they were going to another slaughterhouse, but instead they pulled into a large field that was pitch black. In the moonlight that saw a rather large barn and four trucks were parked next to it. On the ground outside hundreds of cages stuffed with dogs were stacked up. Rather than being at another slaughterhouse, this was actually where the Yulin slaughterhouses bid on the dogs in some kind of sick grotesque dog meat auction. At this moment best guess it was now June 21st around 1 or 2 am.

After a short while Marc along with Yang his translator just started screaming out to his volunteers to grab about 100 to 120 dogs and to take only the ones that look like they may survive. Marc preferred small dogs because they medically cost less. We have had some previous statements from people who had previous contact with Marc Ching they state that he would rather have little dogs because they can be held for photos, so they produce better, more sympathetic pictures and they bring in bigger donations, but again this is an unconfirmed charge, but one that does have some valid credibility.

The group just kept on taking cages and wound up taking roughly twice the 100 dogs Mark wanted. With the dogs packed the volunteers got into the van and with the truck filled with dogs behind them they headed to Nanning.

At this point, Marc claimed to have closed six slaughterhouses, but in our investigation, this group went to one slaughterhouse and then met the other trucks at the auction house. We will address this point in Part #3. Because at this point it's a far cry from the six Marc Ching claims to have closed.

They arrived roughly around 7 am in Nanning and nothing was set up. There were boxes upon boxes of cages that needed to be put together and the volunteers piled out and started tearing up the boxes and putting the cages together as fast as possible. It was hot and very humid and temperatures were expected to reach 41 Celsius (105 Degrees Fahrenheit)

As they went along as soon as one cage was built they transferred the dog's out of a Yulin crate, There was one volunteer who was a doctor from Malaysia and another doctor from the area on the site. With the temperatures rising rapidly the volunteers tried to keep the dogs in the Yulin cages cool by spraying them down and pouring water into their mouths.

At this point, it seemed to everyone that Lia was in charge of the Nanning operation. No one fully explained anyone's position and everyone just assumed by how she took charge that Marc Ching had hired her as some sort of Foreman.

After hours of work putting together the cages and transferring the dogs, they had roughly 100 dogs out of their Yulin crates and into the largest pet cages. All the cages were sitting on the floor since the truck had to leave when Lia announced everyone must stop what they are doing.

She announced they could not do anything else until Marc arrived and people were upset because of the sweltering heat and these poor dogs were just dying being crammed into those Yulin crates. What was even more upsetting was the fact that no one even knew how long they had been in these cages and now they were ordered to stop because they needed to wait until Marc Ching arrived.

As time seemed to drag on the volunteers were growing more and more concerned for the dog's health, so they started covering the dog's cages with the discarded cardboard from the cages, doing whatever they could make them as comfortable as possible. Giving the dogs water, spraying them down, keeping them shaded, they tried their best to keep them cool. It was so hot that most of the Volunteers felt like fainting, so you could imagine how bad it must have been for these animals.

After waiting hours for him to arrive, Marc Ching finally showed up around 4 pm with an entourage of press in tow. Witnesses said he walked right between the dogs to the top of the courtyard and without a care in the world for these dogs, proceeded to give a 20 to 30-minute news conference.

Deborah Hall said, "I felt horrible and to this day I am angry with myself for not doing something or at least telling Marc off." I know what I would have done, just pummeled him in front of the cameras, but I understood what a difficult situation she was in, being that it was her first time in China, and the first time under these conditions it is easy to see how she must have been a little flustered from this surreal situation.
